BPP University is once again offering one of the UK’s most generous and inclusive law scholarship schemes for the 2025–2026 academic year. With over £1.4 million in dedicated funding, BPP aims to eliminate financial barriers and promote access to legal education for students from all walks of life.

Whether you’re switching to a legal career, training to become a solicitor or barrister, or developing your legal skills, BPP provides a wide range of scholarships tailored to diverse pathways and student needs.

1. Converting to Law Scholarships

Designed for non-law graduates and professionals transitioning into the legal profession.

Career Changer Scholarship

  • Courses: PGDL, Master’s Law Conversion, LLM Law Conversion with SQE1

  • Awards: £3,000 | Half Fee | Full Fee

Converting to Law Scholarship

2. Solicitor Scholarships

For students pursuing the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.

SQE Future Lawyer Scholarship

  • Courses: LLM SQE1&2, SQE1&2 Diploma, SQE1 Prep

  • Awards: £3,000 | Half Fee | Full Fee

SQE Exam Prep Scholarship

  • Courses: SQE1 and SQE2 Prep

  • Award: £800

Macfarlanes Scholarship

  • Award: Full Fee

  • Eligibility: Students from lower socio-economic backgrounds

  • Application: Through Macfarlanes’ selection process

Externally Funded Scholarships:

  • Diversity Access Scheme (Law Society): Full Fee

  • Legal Social Mobility Fund (formerly AS Foundation): £5,000

3. Barrister Scholarships

BTC Future Lawyer Scholarship

  • Courses: All BTC variants

  • Awards: £3,000 | Half Fee | Full Fee

BTC Advocacy Scholarship

  • Award: £3,000

  • Application: Separate process based on advocacy excellence

BTC Excellence Award

  • Award: £1,000

  • Automatically granted to BTC students with a first-class degree

Advocate of the Year Scholarship

  • Awards: £5,000 | £3,000 | £2,000

  • Criteria: Annual competition with university law societies

Bridging the Bar Scholarship

  • Award: £5,000

  • Eligibility: Aspiring barristers from underrepresented backgrounds

  • Application: External via Bridging the Bar

4. General Law Scholarships

Campus Ambassador Scholarship

  • Award: Up to £3,000

  • Eligibility: Students supporting BPP’s outreach and events

Bridge Scholarships

  • Award: Up to £5,000

  • Eligibility: Students from BPP partner universities enrolled in Bridge to the Bar or SQE programs

International Student Bursaries

International Postgraduate Bursary

  • Award: £1,000

  • Eligibility: Automatically awarded to international students with a first-class undergraduate degree

  • Courses: All university-level programs

Eligibility Criteria
